Chic Fabric Wreath Made in Less than 15 Minutes

I wanted to share with you a cheap and chic fabric wreath you can whip up in less than 15 minutes! Bonus: The supplies cost me less than $10 and could all be found at Hobby Lobby.

What I love about this wreath is its style. The wreath body is clean and contemporary, but complementing with ribbon and flowers makes it a modern and chic wreath.

Supplies:

14 inch foam wreath
1/4 yard cotton fabric (44" bolt)
3  silk flowers of varying size
2" thick ribbon

Tools:

Sewing machine
Hot glue gun
Serrated knife

Making your wreath

1. Start by carefully slicing your foam wreath at one location using the serrated knife.

2. Fold your cotton fabric in half lengthwise with right-sides in or together. I recommend using a simple and small print so your fabric doesn't take away from the flowers and ribbon.  You'll want to buy fabric from a 44" bolt.

3. Sew down your folded fabric strip lengthwise so that you'll have 3 1/4" tube.

4. Pull the fabric right-sides out.

5. Feed the fabric carefully around the foam working it all the way around the wreath.

6.  Once your fabric is on the wreath, hot glue the wreath back together.

7.  Distribute the fabric around the wreath and turn it so the seam is on the back side.

8. Hot glue the fabric ends together and to the wreath.

Soften your Wreath

Now that you have the base of your wreath, you'll want to embellish it with some softer features. I used silk flowers and ribbon. I trimmed the silk flowers and then pressed the wire stubs into the foam and hot glued the base of the flowers to the fabric. The finishing touches of this wreath include looping ribbon around and tying with a bow.
