This year for the family Christmas Party we are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. I searched stores and online and even second hand but I couldn't find something for everyone in my family. The ones I found online were mostly of a perverse nature and not suitable for kids. The ones in stores weren't exciting enough and in the right sizes. I was about to give up...almost.
I was talking to my sister (as I typically do every morning) and she suggested checking out Walmart's old school jogging suits. I hit the jackpot. They were perfect. heather gray sweat pants with banded bottoms (projected to be a hot item in the coming seasons) and matching blank navy sweat shirts.
I called my favorite (and most dependable, Atcost1) t-shirt printing shop and they were able to fit in my rush order. Did I mention I had put this off till 2 days to the party? I put together a design that mimicked a knitted pattern and included a "Y" for BYU and footballs. The perfect topper to all this was a white turtle neck. Altogether is was definitely the most comfortable Christmas outfit ever. (It also helped that my retro New Balance 574 Sneakers matched nicely.)
Now I am making plans for next years sweaters that I think we will sport to our annual Christmas Eve bowling tournament. Good things to come!
